Link, the hero of the Legend of Zelda series has been voted as the sexiest game character by gay and lesbian magazine Out. This shows just how far the Zelda series has got into popular culture. This is how the magazine described Twilight Princess, Link’s latest outing;

When darkness enshrouds the land, Nintendo’s sexy farm-boy-turned-wolf sets out to save the day in this upcoming game. His weapons: a sword, a bow, arrows, and kick-ass grooming skills

Will Nintendo now release the gay appeal of Link and perhaps make some last minute adjustments to Twilight Princess, like accessories for Link’s clothes, a brighter color scheme for the whole game; not just the Twilight Realm, perhaps new sidequests involving trying to find various grooming products for Link and my personal favourite would be to replace Zelda the damsel in distress with a nice young man for Link to hook up with. Somehow I don’t think this is likely, but perhaps now gay characters will begin to appear in games now that a certian Link has been made.
