Wii Can’t Play In Sunlight?

“If you have the sun beaming right onto the sensor bar, it doesn’t work. For about an hour or so, the sun shone right into the store … and kiosks were unplayable since they were “shrouded” in sunlight. Later the sun went behind a building, and everything was in working order again. So when you get a Wii, don’t play it in sunlight.”
This could mean that you may need to draw the curtains while you’re playing your Wii, not only that but you won’t be able to play it outside during the summer!

That will just be for the sensor bar if its true. The pads themselves use RF which is unaffected by sunlight.
No they dont, the use bluetooth.
Why on earth would you want to play Wii outside anyway? Do you normally move a tv outside to play on your home console?
Also if the sun was that bright it affected the sensor bar surely you wouldnt be able to see a thing on screen anyway as the sensor bar needs to be placed by the TV.
I know when im playing games a line of sunlight through the curtains is distracting as hell
I play my consoles outside. If i’ve got a Pro Evo soccer session lined up, a few mates round,a huge amount of tinnies and some sunshine, we’re straight out there!
I wasn’t being completely serious about it when I wrote that last line, but I’m sure there are a few people that may play games outside in the summer.
