Nintendo have announced that they are going to have 400,000 Wii consoles available in Japan for it’s launch on 2nd December, less than a week before the Wii is released here. This figure is more than 4 times as many units as were available from Sony for the PS3 launch, and could make the availability of the Wii appealing to those not lucky enough to buy a PS3 last week.

Also yesterday Nintendo’s share price hit an all time high at 26,770 Yen.
