The Nintendo Wii is getting a lot of interest in the UK press recently, and not just from the usual places.

Firstly the Wii is featured in todays issue of The Sun, there is a competition, with Amazon.co.uk, were you can win one of 5 Wiis on 6th December, two whole days before the console is set to launch in the UK and Europe. This is bound to be great press for Nintendo, as not many people who read The Sun will know about the Wii, so it is targetting a completely new audience from the normal Nintendo fans. It is also helping to get rid of Nintendo’s image as a kiddy games company.

The Wii was also looked at in Newsnight Review were they gave the console a brief going over. I missed the show but hopefully it will turn up on YouTube at some point and it will be posted then.
