Virtual Console Rentals?

It seems that it may be possible at some point to temporarily download Virtual Console games for the Wii. This was discovered by British Gaming Blog when one of their staff was browsing the Wii Shop Channel on a PC and found the URL for the SNES games section very interesting, as it is
B_04.jsp?p=1&platform=SFC%2FSNES&license=PERMANENT
That may not seem like much to you, but the important part is the license=PERMANENT. Could this mean that at some time you may be able to download games via the Virtual Console, but not permanently, or in other words rent them. We don’t know at the minute, but hopefully we’ll find out soon.

I’d think that i’d be for homebrew games that third party developers have released that are pay per month or something
Sounds like a nice idea, but hopefully if there are rentals they’ll be really cheap.
You can get a free trial to rent video games at and not have to pay anything as long as you cancel
before the trial runs out. I signed up for the trial at http://unlimitedgamerental.com/free-trial.php
myself but ended up staying subscribed since they do have a lot of games and are fast with
shipping.
