The Wii has smashed the UK sales record for the biggest opening weekend of sales for a videogames console. This weekend it reportedly sold 105,000 consoles, which is considerably better than the previous record of 70,000 Xbox 360’s sold last year. Without the shortages perhaps this figure could have been a lot higher.
