Nintendo have announced the release date for WarioWare: Smooth Moves in Europe, its 12th January 2007.

Nintendo have announced another launch date for a European Wii game, this time it is Excite Truck which is released 16th February 2007.

Nintendo have confirmed that there is a new Zelda game for the Wii in development.

From a recent issue of American gaming magazine EGM it appears that there may be a Mii compatible version of Animal Crossing in the works.

The Wii has smashed the UK sales record for the biggest opening weekend of sales for a videogames console.

With the Wii launching only a few days ago in Europe and the UK, Nintendo has revealed what games will be available for download via the Virtual Console ans when they will become available. Below is the full list of titles.

It seems that the Wii hasn’t just been a huge success in the UK, but in Nintendo’s homeland as well.

It seems that the Wii has been very well received during its UK and European launch, within only 12 hours of being released the Nintendo have managed to sell over 50,000 consoles.
