Super Smash Bros. Brawl Gets a Stage Builder

When Super Smash Bros. Brawl gets released, it’ll finally feature a create-a-stage mode. This will allow Wii users to fight it out on their very own maps.

Smash Bros. Brawl Stage Builder

Creator of the game, Masahiro Sakurai, states on his site

You start by choosing the size of the stage, the background pattern, and the music that will play. Oops! Sorry. For music, you’ll only be able to choose from the songs you have available.

Basically, you choose parts from the palette on the side and place them in the field.

The controls vary by controller, but each one can do the following:

* Flip parts left to right
* Enlarge or shrink parts
* Zoom in or out on the screen
* Swap palettes
* Erase

Another cool feature that Super Smash Bros. Brawl will have is the capability to use your Wi-Fi connection to send stages you’ve designed directly to Nintendo!

According to db Techno, “Each day Nintendo is going to choose one stage which will be featured for that day for all to play around with and use. Every 24 hours this is going to update and Smash Bros. on the Wii will have a brand new user-created level for all to enjoy.”

Super Smash Bros. Brawl sounds like it’s going to be one of the titles to look forward to in 2008.
