Wal-Mart Selling Off Brand Wii Remotes

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed.

Laptop Logic is running a funny little story about a Wiimote knock-off being sold at Wal-Mart. The design is very similar to the Wiimote, but it has a little screen on top that you are somehow supposed to view the game on while swinging the controller around. The article’s author Steve Martiniez writes:

The part that’s so sad it’s eclipsed back to hilarious, is that when you’re waving the device around, you can’t keep track of the screen, rendering playability to around zero.

If this sells well, I’ll market my “Wiimote.” You play Mario Bros. on a tiny screen via waving it around, and when you lose, it sprays vinegar in your eyes. You’re welcome.

I am not sure what the brand name is on this product, but I’ll say you’re probably better off just sticking with the Nintendo brand at this point. But on the other hand, who knows? Maybe it blows the real thing out of the water. Anybody have one of these bad boys?
