After what seems like an eternity… Super Mario Galaxy is here. It finally hit the store shelves today for the Wii, after it had become one of the most anticipated games in recent memory. Also, from what I’ve been reading… it’s getting some rave reviews.

In case a few of you aren’t very familiar with Super Mario Galaxy I’ll give you a brief rundown on the game.

The game starts out with Bowser crashing the star festival and taking Princess Peach’s castle into space. In steps Mario, he goes into space and has to battle a plethora of of creatures on new planets. Along the way, you must master the changing gravities of each new planet while collecting Power Stars. Mario also learns a new spin move (which is performed by spinning the Wii Remote). He also has a few new transformations at his disposal, including the Boo Mario, which causes him to float and fly through walls, and Bee Mario, which turns him into a flying bee.

Hopefully with that… you’ll be able to grasp what the “general idea” of the game is.

Super Mario Galaxy is rated “E for Everyone”, which comes as no surprise… as the Mario series has always been fun for the whole family.

Personally, I’ve not played the game yet… but after what I’ve read, I must say I’m looking forward to playing it. After I play it I’ll write a review of the game, to see if the hype matches the game.
