Virtual Console Getting 2 More Consoles?

Nintendo recently updated their Japanese Virtual Console page, in doing so they added two more boxes (where two new consoles would go)… but what does this mean? Sure, the argument could be made that their just wanting the site to balance out - using the ancient technique of “fengshui“. Highly unlikely, but still plausible.

In all actuality this probably means that the Nintendo Wii might be getting two more consoles added to it’s Virtual Console. So let the speculation begin about which consoles might be getting added.

Kotaku has state which console they hope it is…

Expect two more consoles to be announced, and announced soon, with one (hopefully/probably) being the Master System, and the other, a complete mystery.

So if this comes to fruition… which consoles do you hope get added? Let us know.

The Sega Saturn would be a nice little thing to add. The Master System will probably happen. Other than that, I can’t really think of what other console to add.

I could see the old gameboy getting VC treatment, seeing as how everyone and their dog has a DS now, and with no backwards compatability for GBC games…it seems like an obvious choice to get those games back out there.

Feng Shui is Chinese, not Japanese

I’d like to see a 3DO VC Option. 3DO rocked back in the day!!

I have thought for a while now that they need to get old game boy games on the VC. Remember the cartridge for SNES that you could plug your gameboy games into?

Mike, it was called the SuperGameBoy. I still have one and use it on occasion with my SNES
