Anyone Get a “Rain Check” from GameStop Today?
Published by Jeremy on December 21st, 2007Well, today was the day for the “Wii Certificate program” at GameStop stores across the country. Did anyone get one… or was you even interested in it.
I”ll be honest with you, I was never a big fan of this “program“. I didn’t like that you had to pay full price… wait over 30 days before you even got your item. But, from what I’ve been reading there were huge lines forming early this morning.
According to Game|Life, some GameStop’s were confused by the whole matter…
But we’ve already received a tip from a reader that his GameStop store, in Wilson, North Carolina, didn’t know anything about a limited-edition DVD case, and all he walked away with was a cash register receipt.
So out of all you WiiSpin readers… who of you actually got the certificate in the DVD case - or did you just get a receipt like those poor bastards in North Carolina? Please leave me a comment… I’m curious how organize this whole thing truly was.

My friend got a wii certificate thing for christmas. Gamestop told them that they would get him his wii in exactly a month. He got the dvd case with a receipt on the back saying that his wii would arrive soon. I told him that he should have gotten a wii at least 2 or 3 months earlier before christmas because there were going to be no more wiis around christmas. he didn’t believe me and he looked for a wii at many gamestops like a week before christmas like a retard. He got the certificate thing instead since he couldn’t find one. I already have a wii from January, so I just like to rub it in his face. lol. He is sooo stupid. He just should have looked for a wii earlier. Now he’s got to wait a month to get his wii like the little faggot he is.
They called about 11:oo AM on the 26th that it was in and I picked it up around noon the on the 26th. The grand kids were happy when I showed up with it.
I just found your site, and I had a quick questions, since you seem to be knowledgeable.
Is the Wii going to allow multiplayer games over a network like X-Box Live? If so, any idea when it is expected to debut?
Also, is there any chance that any of the GTA games will come to Wii?
