Mario Kart Wii Releasing April 2nd?

Supposedly GameStop has been told by their higher ups to being accepting pre-orders for Mario Kart Wii… which will be releasing on April 2nd.
Can this be accurate? Everyone knows that GameStop has been wrong a few times about release dates. If this news holds up… this means that Nintendo could have a very prosperous Spring with SSBB dropping in March then Mario Kart Wii in April.
Wii.Kombo.com has said the following…
We called several local GameStops and were able to confirm truth in this. All the stores we talked to claim that Mario Kart Wii will be releasing on April 2. Additionally, you can now pre-order the game at GameStop.
Yeah, this is good news… but not to rain on anyones parade - I fully expect this game to be delayed. Anyone agree with me on this?

Hell yeah I agree with you. Nothing that a store will tell me will convince me of Nintendo’s tendencies of pushing back their products. I’ll be very much surprised if this is true when April 2nd comes around…
