This past Monday some Mario Kart Wii rumors started getting some big attention around the Internet… as they were going to be published in NMag (a Nintendo centric magazine). Well, it appears those rumors were nothing more than mere speculation on their part… as they’ve been squashed by Nintendo.

Go Nintendo had the original post with the rumors (from NMag), which included…

- Confirmation on Snaking and sliding
- Baby Peach and Boo to be drivers (a first in the series)
- Battle it out on the Internet
- 32 total courses (16 new + 16 old)
- All drivers will have a different vehicle
- Comparable controls to Excite Truck

Eurogamer.net has a quote from a Nintendo spokesperson that fills us in on the veracity of these rumors…

Nintendo has not announced any further information on Mario Kart. We’ve spoken to the magazine and it’s just pure rumor and speculation on their part.

Hopefully Nintendo will release some further details about the game… as this proves that people are hungry for news about Mario Kart Wii.
