SSBB Sells 500,000 Copies
Published by Jeremy on February 1st, 2008Yeah, that actually says 500,000… and that was in one day! I figured the game was going to be extremely popular… but even this surprised me.
Gamer.tm sort of shares my same sentiments on this matter…
We knew the latest instalment in the Smash Bros. series was going to do well after huge crowds were reported to be queuing up for copies outside shops across Japan yesterday, but for it to be doing this well is nothing less than amazing. To put it in context, Brawl has already sold more than half of what Mario Galaxy has managed in Japan to date.
It still remains to be seen if SSBB will be received here in the states with the same admiration and open arms. What are your thoughts, how many copies do you think will sale the first day? Let me know.
