Race Your Mii in Mario Kart Wii?
Published by Jeremy on February 6th, 2008If this turns out to be factual… this could easily be the best Mii integration so far. Below you can see an image of a supposed Mii character racing in the game.
As nothing is official from Nintendo yet, don’t get to excited (I know it’s hard) about the possible Mii integration… but I’d say we have a fair chance of this rumor becoming an actuality.
So, what are your thoughts on this… looking forward to racing alongside your favorite characters? Let me know what you think.

I hope so, it would be great! I will still play as Yoshi though.
I am really hoping Nintendo will open the mii’s up to the developers.

I’m not so sure I’d like this…I mean what made Mario Kart so great in the first place was that each character had different attributes and items associated with them, and could only drive certain carts, ie: light/medium/heavy which each had different properties.
I’d definitely go for this if there’s some additional configurability on specials for each character….but if it’s like most of the mii-integrated games (read wii-play/wii-sports/Wario-ware) all the mii characters function identically…..that’d be pretty lame in mariokart!

I think this is great. I have always thought the best part of the Wii was the whole Mii idea, that your scores and achievements stay with you, especially in multi player games. I just wish I could go through Resident Evil with my Mii, then I would feel like I was really there.
I hope so…I was honestly REALLY surprised when they didn’t add a Mii to the Smash Bros. Brawl Roster…
FistyDollars: I totally agree with you, that was a bit of surprise to me. You would think that since the Mii is a Nintendo concoction… they would try and include it in as many Nintendo releases as they can.

I got a question. I’ve looked every where and couldnt find the answer. I was wondering, how do you put your mii face on the game while your raceing?? I see peoples mii face but i just dont know how you do it. If anybody knows the answer, can you please reply. Thank you soo much!!!!

i think there is some way to do it. unno how. cause, like, i read somewhere that the weight classes depends on how fat your guy is, fat guy, heavy, drive heavy carts, skinny, light, and inbetween, medium. mhmm
This is bullshit. Nintendo needs to get on the ball and make this information public. I DEMAND that my mii race in mario kart… demand it!

In order for you to race as your Mii instead of a normal character you need to win the Star cup on 100cc to unlock it.

What is the “Star Cup”?
I have won all of the 50cc, 100cc and some 150cc and I still dont see this option. How do you get to race with your own Mii?
From what I’ve read you have to get gold in the 100cc special cup and that unlocks one outfit for your Mii, to unlock the other one you need to unlock all 32 trial expert ghosts.
I did get first place in the 100cc special cup and it unlocked it! I previously had a second place trophy in that cup which apparently wasnt good enough.
