I'm not really an MMO fan, I've played a few, but never any of the big ones (WoW, EQ, Guild Wars, etc.) I think that an MMO would be good for the Wii, though. I see Nintendo's approach to casual gamers, but they should still consider the hardcore fans. I think they should start a new series that is an MMO.

Jason: I do agree with you, Personally.. I'm not an MMO fan... but I don't think that should stop Nintendo from making them.

They're highly popular... and could be good for the console. Think about it for a second... if they developed a highly successful MMO, it could attract more people to the Wii thus making development studios/companies see that the console is actually worth spending some development money on. In my eyes, almost a Win Win.

I think a good MMO for the Wii would be good for everyone, even for the MMO haters.

The lack of MMOs doesn't bother me in the least. MMOs are the antithesis of casual gaming, and casual gaming (ala Wii Sports) is primarily what attracted me to the Wii after years of hardly any video games in my life.

Brainiac: Glad you like my idea

Now if only the big "N" would listen to my "idea"... and give me some sort of "brainstorming fee"...

Exactly, They need something big. The Mario idea would be great since it wold make a great spring board into there other titles. Being able to play missions in that world or involving the other games like SSBB or Mario kart. So if they made a new Mario Baseball you could train form new teams with people online get leagues and stuff going it could be tricky but im sure enough people would be excited to play something like that

Brainiac: Very good points you bring up. Personally, I think Nintendo is thinking to small about this whole thing...

They want something that would span different age ranges... hmm... how about a MMO devoted to Super Mario World. Everyone loves Mario and his band of rapscallions. They could allow people to create their own character... design your own car for Mario Kart... train for SSBB... just travel to different worlds (god knows there are enough of them). It would be huge. But, I'm guess it would be to hard to bring together.

Well, I am technologically challenged at times and just connected the Wii to the internet. I like playing with my friends in this space/time reality, but I'd like to to play tennis with someone else in the virtual stratosphere.

You can't tell me a pokemon MMO wouldnt be awesome. Ive thought about it before and I think the wii is the system for it, you could go in a lot of diffrent directions not everyone has to be a trainer. You could be a breeder or a nurse/doctor a researcher where you capture and study pokemon or make your own farm or Ranch, you could be an officer or work in safari zone. Or be one of those things they have now the like style compettions where you sorta battle but its more how good your pokemon looks doing it. You could make your own gym and badges, host tournaments. If you wanted to go evil you could join team rocket and have it open a bunch of new stuff work your way up the ranks steal pokemon and stuff. On the other side there could be a team rocket resistance force I just think it would be cool and something nintendo could jump right on with all the crazy pokemon they have now you'd never be able to catch them all. Plus it gives them a way to do expanisons new islands and places buildings, story archs where you play through the mew story or something missions kinda thing. It would also be cool to not only level the pokemon but also have to level yourself. Depending on what you do even if you are a trainer if you want to handel more experienced pokemon you need to get badges and stuff to level up. Theres a lot of possiblities from having your own store to having a breeding center. Just a thought I had.
