Ex-Naughty Dogs Found Big Red Button
Published by Jeremy on February 15th, 2008Two former workers for Naughty Dog have joined forces and established Big Red Button Entertainment. They two guys with the new BRBENT wish to create “original character based intellectual properties for cross platform and cross media development”.

Here is a pretty good statement from the BRBENT site… pretty much sums up their gaming philosophies.
Our commitment is to make not just fun, engaging and compelling games, but games that everyone can play, and everyone will want to play! We at BRB share this long term vision, intending to grow the gaming market, both in terms of age & gender demographics, as well as in emotional appeal.
According to Next-gen Big Red Button currently has six original IPs in concept development.
Hopefully we’ll see some good stuff coming from this new company shortly.

About

I wonder if these people had anything to do with Crash Bandicoot’s new tribal tattoos. Somebody on some other game site already made fun of this, but seriously, how can you connect with grandma and all the generalized demographics you’re drooling over when you think people my age are going to be excited about tribal tattoos on a mascot. we know he’s extreme, and he has an attitude. that’s fine. but the reason crash was good wasn’t because he was the star of a solid platforming game. Case in point, you don’t see any piercings or rollerblades in Super Mario Galaxy. just like it has done for so many aspiring bad-asses in the real world, getting tribal tattoos has tarnished Crash’s already questionable coolness.
