Mario Kart Wii “Text Chat” is Lame

The Nintendo Wii, with it’s state of the art controls and vast online catalog… why are you stuck in the 1990’s when it comes to in game chatting?

Mario Kart Wii

With the recent news that Mario Kart Wii was coming with “Text Chat” people were curious how they could type and drive at the same time. But fret not… as Nintendo is making it so you can only choose from a VERY small selection of automated statements/responses while playing the game.

We’re taking “Hello”, “I’m sad”… you know, things of that nature and utter lameness.

So what are your thoughts… well actually you can’t tell me what your thinking, you must choose from one of these two pre-determined responses to my question. “Thumbs Up” or “Thumbs Down”.

haha. it’s an improvement over the last system, in which you had to collect digi-pokemon cards and display them to show how you were feeling (e.g. a Cyber Garunga-Dragon means that you wish your cart had better acceleration).
