My copy of SSBB works fine on my Wii, but my brothers have had problems with their copy at my parent's house. It is similar to the the problem you used to have with the old NES where you would have to try all sorts of tricks to get some games to work. In their case, simply ejecting and replacing the disc fixes the issue most of the time. In others, they have to eject it and clean the disk. Still, they always get it to work. Oh, and they just got Mario Kart and it DOES have the exact same issue.

This is an unverified rumor that has been debunked numerous times on other sites. My copy, and virtually everyone else's, works fine. Buy this game if you're into good multi player on the Wii.

My SSBB works just fine. Although the first time I stuck it in, it did do an update of SSBB right away. Not sure if it was just a random update or if it had to do with the problems.
