I know, I know, I’ve been a bit preoccupied with Mad World. But, can you really blame me? I mean, that game looks majorly immense. But, we’re going to switch gears today. Sonic & The Black Knight is coming out next week so, that means the trailers are forthcoming. I was not at all a fan of Sonic & The Secret Rings but, this one looks a bit more promising. It could be that it’s set in the time of King Arthur and that fantastical period has a soft spot from my childhood. I used to love the tales of the Roundtable adventures of Gawain, Arthur and company. I also used to love Sonic games so, on paper this is a match made in heaven. Of course, games in this day and age aren’t exactly known for living up to what they can represent on paper. Either way, the latest Sonic adventure is shaping up to be a sleeper hit for Nintendo in these beginning months of 2009 that have been mostly dedicated to the hardcore title. It is slightly ironic that sandwiched between the release of Dead Rising and Mad World rests little old Sonic. Let’s hope the character we grew up with can still hold his own.
