Squeeballs Say Let’s Get Epic…

The flu is awful. Like, really awful. Dead laptops are even worse. Especially when they died like a few days before, but you put all you had into bringing them back to life only to have them die yet again. Basically it means that soon enough it’s going to be dead for good. It also means that your hand is forced and you have to order a new laptop. Which costs money. Which I don’t have. I mean, I do have it, but it shouldn’t be going to a laptop. Dealing with dead computers and buying new computers while you yourself feel like you’re about to die due to some insane strain of flu that Anderson Cooper and Sanjay Gupta (Side note: Mrs. Mike’s optometrist is Sanjay Gupta’s optometrist. Yeah, we ball like that.) have convinced me that I have even though it’s barely a fever. Seriously, the news needs to cut it out with all this “epidemic” and “pandemic” talk. When bodies are lining up along the streets Black Plague style, then we’ll know it’s real. Until then, it’s just flu season. Man up, drink some OJ, take some Nyquil and catch up on your DVR/ONDemand for a couple days and you’ll be fine. Trust me, it works.

Due to dying Mike & dying laptops (btw, when I get sick I hit full on baby mode) I’ve had so much more to deal with than playing MySims:Agents. At least, playing it enough to get through the game and give a review. I promise you this, it will be up this week. If it’s not you can, well there’s not much you can do, but I’ll get it up either way. I’ll also try and get a review up of the upcoming title Squeeballs Party from PDP (Performance Designed Productions). I recently got a ridiculously epic package from the company (major shout out to Marina @ MosesAnshell for looking out), and will get an unboxing up either later tonight or tomorrow. Squeeballs Party is, you guessed it, a party game that boasts an impressive 150+ mini games. Yeah, that’s a lot. I’m interested in seeing how PDP does in keeping them fresh. The basic premise of the tale is that squeeballs are toys and they need to be tested. That’s where you come in. It’s a party, who needs a story? I will say, if the team at PDP put as much work into the game as they did the review package they sent me, I’m in for a helluva fun time playing this. Stay tuned for more on squeeballs and check the trailer for the title, which is due to smash store shelves Oct. 15, below.

**Update: Squeeballs will actually be released on October 15th as opposed to the 13th which is what I originally said. Yes, I make mistakes from time to time.**

Now, for something completely different. I don’t know how many of you have heard of Mickey Mouse, but he’s kind of a big deal. He’s always been portrayed as a very cute and lovable mouse. I think even Steamboat Willy (the first iteration of the famous rodent) was cute way back in the 20’s or 30’s or whenever it was that he took the world by storm. Well, it’s looking like Nintendo is teaming up with DeusEx creator Warren Spector to give Walt’s favorite friend a dark overhaul. The title is Epic Mickey. Disney is holding an event at the end of the month to announce it. Game Informer has revealed their next issue which will have a special on the game. Oh, and it’s going to be a Wii exclusive. That’s right, we are going to get a title that could be seriously awesome, and none of the HDC’s are. It’s going to be epic. Check the cover below, try not to drool too much, enjoy and stay thirsty my friends.
