Let’s Get Excited!!

I have to say, today was a pretty good day. My Windows 7 disk will be here on Wednesday, I got OSX running on my PC, and I didn’t even have to use my AK. Oh, and Netflix announced they were coming to the PS3, which really makes me happy. As I pointed out last week, it just makes more sense than coming to the Wii. The Big N doesn’t need to go there, it’d be completely ridiculous. Imagine if the two companies decided to just run with it though…. They could make the menus all Mii’d out, to fast forward/rewind you’d have to get some crazy waggle on, pausing would involve a flick of the wrist like fishing! I don’t know, it’d be kinda stupid. And not stupid dope, just stupid. Luckily, I’m pretty sure I’m the only one who can come up with that sort of idea. It’s a rare gift to be able to think of something that is so beyond outrageous, that no one else would ever consider it. Another idea I have is developing the power to ginger/de-ginger people. Have I talked about this before here? Who cares if I have?!!? It’s such an awesome idea. I’m pretty sure it’d make me the most BA person on the planet. Who the hell wouldn’t fear/respect/admire/love/adore me if I had the power to turn them into a ginger, or to take away their gingerness. Yeah, I’m kind of obsessed with gingers….

You know what else I used to be totally obsessed with? Excitebike. That game used to be like crack to me. I’m not talking about 8 or 9 year old Mike was obsessed, I think the apex came at like 17 or so. We’d stay up all night playing the original Tony Hawk on PS1 and then I’d switch to Excitebike and play for who knows how long. Believe me when I tell you, I was a Jedi Master at creating tracks. Some people would get retarded with their tracks, man I was methodical. I was a monster. They would be fun to race on, and I would smash any fool who seriously thought getting up on my skittles. It was nasty. So, you have to imagine the sheer joy, excitement, and slight trepidation at today’s announcement of Excitebike:World Rally. I’m a fan of the new “Excite” series on the Wii, but if it’s not Bike it ain’t Excite. What? You know what I mean. But, Ninty is bringing our favorite motocrossers back into the world, and this time they’re going 3D. I do have to say I like the fact that they are releasing this game on WiiWare. It means it won’t cost enough to make me cry when it fails to live up to the outlandishly high standards I’m going to put it up against. If you have no idea what I’m on about, or never really cared for Excitbike, then you’re dead to me. I kid! I kid!! Seriously though, check the trailer for World Rally, which will be released Nov. 9, below. Enjoy, and stay thirsty my friends.
