Frobot Calling…
Published by Mike W on November 10th, 2009I’m going to start things off by telling you about things to come here at The Spin. As you all know, it’s now November and that means the holidays are knocking on your door. If you don’t know that it’s November, you’ve either been in a coma in which case I say welcome back, or you are completely oblivious to everything around you, in that case I have to say I’m kind of impressed. Either way, you’re here now and that’s all that matters. One of the staples of the holidays are lists. You made one for Santa as a child and now as an adult instead of making lists, you read lists made by others. They may be lists that your significant others make, maybe you have kids and they made lists, or maybe you read one of the billion of “top” lists that hit the internet each year around this time. Well, I’ll let you try my sheep style kung-fu and am going to make a few lists of my own. I’ll have all that you’d expect, from best to worst of the year as well as what to look forward to in 2010. Which means you can expect a specific Mr. Touchdown to make an appearance or two. I also have a few reviews that I need to finally get published. Yes, I know I never got MySims Agents up, expect that sometime soon, as well as Squeeballs and NERF 2. Speaking of NERF, we went to Target and bought some bullets, Roxy was not amused at all when she caught one to the face as she tried to sleep under the table. While at Target I saw what may be the most BA Nerf of all time. It was a bazooka. Yes, a bazooka. The tagline on the box read, “Launch giant missiles up to 30 feet.” If I had found that when I was about 12, I would have been convinced it was the holy grail. Oh, they also the amazing Vulcan, which you can see below.

There’s this new Intel commercial that shows a robotic arm giving dap to a man. For those not in the know, dap is kind of like a high-five, only way cooler. To me, this commercial says that Intel are on the verge of unleashing a robotic army on the masses. This may sound paranoid to you guys, but deep down you know it’s true, robots are totally going to take over one day. Okay, maybe I’ve seen The Matrix one too many times, whatever. Anyway, all this robot talk will tie in perfectly with Frobot, which is an upcoming Wiiware title from Fugazo. This game caught my eye because it reminded me of Afro Samurai. Not because the game is like Afro, but because they both had robots with an afro. Of course, Afro also had a crazy ass ninja in a teddy bear head, while Frobot has 5 girlfriends. Not sure who the winner is there…If you’re interested in Frobot, check him out in all his glory in the debut trailer below. Enjoy, and stay thirsty my friends.
